After much public outcry, Microsoft has announced it is changing its Xbox One policies. After a one-time setup of the Xbox One, disc-based games can be played without ever needing an Internet connection as long as the disc stays in the Xbox.
Microsoft has also removed regional restrictions and there will also be no limitations on trading in, lending, reselling, gifting or renting disc-based games. To accommodate these changes, Microsoft no longer allows downloaded games to be shared or resold.
